Since its inception, the CNLV has been instrumental in the country's electricity supply, generating approximately 5% of the total electricity Mexico consumes. This makes it an essential source of base energy, ensuring constant and stable generation, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Commitment to safety
Safety is a top priority at the Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant. The plant's reactors are equipped with multiple protection systems, designed under the strictest international standards. These include physical barriers that isolate radioactive materials and automatic systems that stop the operation of the reactors in the event of any irregularities.
